SAMA Machinery has built and repaired leather splitting machines in Dongguan since 2002. We reverse-engineer and manufacture spare parts for Camoga machines, and we build our own machines. That puts us in a position most suppliers are not in: we can tell you precisely which parts cross over, and which do not. Being accurate here matters more to us than sounding good — if a part does not fit, you lose production time and we lose a customer.
1. Models with full Camoga interchangeability
These four SAMA models share every part with a specific Camoga model. Both directions: our parts fit your Camoga, and Camoga parts fit our machine.
| SAMA model | Camoga model | Interchange | Feeding width | Motor | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| S420C | C420 | All parts | 420 mm | 3.2 kW | Every part fits both machines |
| S520C | C520 | All parts | 520 mm | 3.2 kW | Every part fits both machines |
| S420RC+ | C420LC+ | All parts | 420 mm | 3.5 kW | CNC version — every part fits both machines |
| S520RC+ | C520LC+ | All parts | 520 mm | 3.5 kW | CNC version — every part fits both machines |
Practical consequence: if you run a C420 or C520 and are quoting a replacement machine, you can switch to the SAMA equivalent without writing off a single spare part in your store. Presser feet, feed rollers, upper feed units, grinding assemblies — all of them keep working.
2. Models without a Camoga counterpart
These five models occupy specifications Camoga does not build, so there is nothing to be interchangeable with. We list them because pretending otherwise would waste your time — and because the machine may still be exactly what you need.
| SAMA model | Feeding width | Motor | Camoga counterpart |
|---|---|---|---|
| S320C | 320 mm | 3.2 kW | No Camoga model built to this specification |
| S360C | 360 mm | 3.2 kW | No Camoga model built to this specification |
| S620C | 620 mm | 3.2 kW | No Camoga model built to this specification |
| S620RC+ | 620 mm | 3.5 kW | No Camoga model built to this specification |
| S840RC+ | 840 mm | 3.5 kW | No Camoga model built to this specification |
The S840RC+ is our widest machine at 840 mm — a class Camoga does not cover, built for full hides and large upholstery panels. The S320C and S360C sit at the compact end for workshops where floor space is the constraint.
3. Parts shared inside one SAMA number family
Independently of Camoga, our own range is designed so that machines sharing a number share their wearing hardware. If you run two machines from the same family, one spare-part kit covers both.
| Family | Shared parts | Status |
|---|---|---|
| 420 family (S420C / S420RC+) | Lower roller, upper feed unit, presser foot | Fully interchangeable |
| 520 family (S520C / S520RC+) | Lower roller, upper feed unit, presser foot | Fully interchangeable |
| 620 family (S620C / S620RC+) | Lower roller, upper feed unit, presser foot | Fully interchangeable |
4. Wear parts that are identical across every SAMA model
Regardless of model, series or width, the following consumables use one single specification across our entire range:
- Wool felt
- Grinding wheel
- Dressing stone (stone axe)
- Large-wheel scraper blade
- Sharpening belt
If you already stock these for SAMA equipment, they will fit any SAMA machine you buy next — including machines of a different width.
5. Band knife blades are matched per model
The band knife is the one component that is not universal. Blade size depends on the machine it runs on, so it is the single item we will not sell without confirmation. To get the right blade you only need one of the following:
- Your machine model (for example
S620RC+or CamogaC520LC+), or - Three measurements: blade length, width and thickness.
Send either to our team and we will confirm the specification and quote before shipping.
| Machine model | Blade size (length × width × thickness) |
|---|---|
| S420C | 3500 × 50 × 0.7 mm |
| S520C | 3700 × 50 × 0.8 mm |
| S620C | 3900 × 50 × 0.8 mm |
| S420RC+ | 3750 × 60 × 0.8 mm |
| S520RC+ | 3950 × 60 × 0.8 mm |
For the S320C, S360C, S620RC+ and S840RC+ we confirm the blade size against your machine before shipping — send us the model or the three measurements above.
6. Already running a Camoga? We stock every model
Cross-referencing machines is one thing; keeping an ageing machine running is another. Independently of which SAMA model you buy, we:
- Stock compatible spare parts for every Camoga model and ship worldwide — no waiting weeks for shipments from Europe.
- Repair and refurbish all major brands: Camoga, Atom and Cerim (Italy), Fortuna and Pfaff (Germany), and Chinese makes.
- Sell refurbished used Camoga machines with warranty.
7. How to order the right part first time
- Machine model — the SAMA or Camoga model code.
- Part name — presser foot, feed roller, upper feed unit, grinding wheel, felt.
- Quantity — we ship single items and full spare-part kits.
- A photo if unsure — our engineers identify parts from photos daily.
8. Frequently asked questions
Which SAMA machines are interchangeable with Camoga?
Four models: the SAMA S420C with the Camoga C420, the S520C with the C520, the S420RC+ with the C420LC+ and the S520RC+ with the C520LC+. Every part fits both machines. No other SAMA model has a Camoga counterpart.
Why do some SAMA models have no Camoga equivalent?
Because the specification does not exist on the Camoga side. Our range runs from 320 mm to 840 mm feeding width; the S320C, S360C, S620C, S620RC+ and S840RC+ occupy sizes Camoga does not build, so there is nothing to interchange with.
Which parts are shared between SAMA models?
Two rules. Inside one number family (for example 620: S620C and S620RC+) the lower roller, upper feed unit and presser foot are fully interchangeable. Across every SAMA model, wearing parts — wool felt, grinding wheel, dressing stone, large-wheel scraper blade and sharpening belt — use one single specification.
Are band knife blades interchangeable?
No. The band knife is matched to each machine model — for example the S420C takes a 3500 × 50 × 0.7 mm blade while the S520RC+ takes 3950 × 60 × 0.8 mm. See the table in section 5 for the sizes we publish. Send us your machine model, or the blade length, width and thickness, and we will ship the correct blade.
Can you supply parts for my existing Camoga machine?
Yes. We stock compatible spare parts for every Camoga model and ship worldwide, so you do not have to wait weeks for shipments from Europe. We also repair and refurbish Camoga machines, and sell refurbished units.
